Where There is Darkness

Where there is darkness there is often a little bit of light. Things were very shaky when I registered for classes. I did not have the money for books. However, an earth angel saw fit to buy my books, without any questions or requirement to pay back. I am forever grateful. One hurdle was cleared. Tuition was still a concern. Due to the kindness of my instructor, I and others were provided with information regarding a new grant. My tuition was paid for.
I worried about getting to class. Once again, I had car trouble but somehow I made it. I still need car repairs and hope to have that taken care of soon. In the midst of all this, I had a death in the family, I was sick on and off, there were heavy demands at work, my car was taken and it was unclear if I could get it back in a timely manner, it was one thing after another. The last thing I wanted to do is study or do homework under these circumstances. It would have been so easy to walk away. To wait until next year. Wait for a better day. That day would never come. Sometimes you have just fight through it. There is no better time. Challenges are inevitable.
I somehow made it through my first two courses and have registered for my next two automotive classes and one other course for training and development certification. I still have many concerns and challenges but I take it one day at a time. I will work out what needs to be done, to get through the next set and the next until I have completed the program. There are occasions where you just trust and do. You often ride on your faith and the faith, strength and belief of a few others. I am grateful for a few who have been super supportive through every step of the way. My own will and the kindness of others kept me lifted.
Sometimes the darkness is not always the worst. When you are sadly accustom to challenges and trials of darkness, you are able to feel your way through, your eyes adjust and you get your footing. There are times you even keep your eyes closed and let your spirit, faith and guts take you through the darkest hallways to reach the other side.
